Test background
In order to demonstrate the tolerability and effectiveness of our soothing psoriasis care cream according to clinical dermatological test criteria, we carried out an in-vivo study together with Dermatest.
It was therefore an application study in which 20 people affected by psoriasis tested our cream over a period of 6 weeks to accompany therapy for their psoriasis. The cream was applied to the affected area of skin once a day.
The study participants were looked after by specialist staff for the duration of the study and were asked about their subjective opinion of the care cream at the end of the study. In addition, a dermatological assessment was carried out every three weeks and skin moisture (corneometry) was measured to record the moisturizing properties of the cream.

Dermatological assessment
Study design
As part of the dermatological assessment, the following factors of the skin areas affected by psoriasis were measured: skin moisture, redness and flaking.
To measure skin moisture, the moisture of the outer layer of skin was measured. To do this, a probe is placed on the affected skin cell and an imperceptible electrical impulse is given, which penetrates this layer of skin. Due to the large differences in electrical resistance between water and other skin components, the moisture content of the skin can be easily identified. The affected skin areas were subjected to such measurements every three weeks.
The other factors (flaking and redness of the skin) were measured according to the “In-vivo Touching Evaluation”. Accordingly, the condition of the skin is determined visually and by touching the skin; this assessment is carried out by a trained assessor.
Study results
The measurements gave the following results (after using the cream for 6 weeks):
- The skin moisture in the test area increased by approx. 40%.
- The scaling of the affected skin area decreased by approximately 30%.
- The redness of the affected skin area decreased by approximately 20%.
Conclusion
In summary, our corrective psoriasis care cream was convincing in the Dermatest application test; those affected reported the positive effect on their skin affected by psoriasis. The satisfaction is also reflected in the recommendation rate of 80%. We know that our cream does not offer a solution for everyone affected and are therefore very satisfied with the results.
The dermatological assessment also confirmed the effectiveness of our cream. We would have liked to see a stronger effect, so we have taken these results to heart and are currently (as of the end of August 2023) developing a stronger version of our care cream together with our co-creators .
